Hey! We’re Florencia and Vladimir, the two people behind Darcraft, an independent gothic and alternative brand based in Zagreb, Croatia.
Darcraft started with a simple idea: creating the kind of pieces we wanted to have around us but couldn’t easily find. What began with dark decor and curiosities has grown over the years into something much bigger, bringing together chainmail, jewelry, wearable pieces, art and objects for the home.
Everything is created by us in our small studio aka home. I work mainly with chainmail, jewelry and art, while Vladimir works with 3D printing and helps bring our curiosities and objects to life. From chainmail pieces made ring by ring to hand-painted skull replicas, framed curiosities and one-of-a-kind objects, there’s a lot of handwork behind what we make.
We’re especially drawn to pieces that feel unusual, old, strange or slightly macabre. We love combining different techniques and materials, reworking vintage objects and creating things that sit somewhere between jewelry, art and curiosity.
Many of our pieces are made in very limited quantities or are completely one of a kind. Others are made to order, slowly and by hand.
Darcraft has changed a lot since we started, and it will probably keep changing with us. But the idea behind it remains the same: to create things we genuinely want to exist.
